The Senator Entertainment AG - who we are and what we are doing

Senator Entertainment is a media conglomerate that produces and co-produces TV and theatrical product, as well as acquiring and exploiting rights to completed films in all stages of the distribution chain, i.e. theatrical, DVD, TV and the multiple internet platforms in a global and all-encompassing fashion.

Over our 30-year history, theatrical distribution has remained the core and key to our business activity. The foundation of Senator Filmproduktion early on, in 1987, and much later of Senator Home Entertainment 2006, were mutually complimentary steps that served to improve the leverage of Senator Filmverleih distribution arm in the exploitation pipeline.

As a firm, we are proud of the pivotal role we have played in the history of German film for many decades. Senator will continue to dedicate all its energy to providing attractive films to theatergoers, as well as DVD and internet viewers, with a goal of offering great entertainment as well as moving and gripping contemporary content.
